A Friend of mine told me that he heard from another person, That as of Febuary 2010, California residents will not be able to buy components for reloading or otherwise thru the mail sytems (primers, bullets, casings, bulk bullets for reloading) or ordering on the internet from other states to be shipped to California. Is there any truth to this?

I thought so. I only heard this 15 minutes before I posted this thread. I hear so much of this BS. But I thought I would get somebodies elses feedback. There are apparently many suppliers that DO NOT UNDERSTAND CALIFORNIA LAW and will refuse to ship anything, including reloading components to CA.

Don't get me wrong, the law does not inhibit the reloading components, but it may just scare-off enough suppliers to do some damage, especially at the beginning of the year. Perhaps once the suppliers understand the law more as the year wears on, they may ship.
Some, I have heard, refuse to ship already.Comment

Instead of relying on a what a string of people tell you, you should learn to do a bit of research for yourself. I don't mean that as a criticim, but a suggestion. Start with 'CA ammo ban', finding AB 962 was the bill. Then use that to find the actual bill / law text and the many postings already here about it. Learn and exercise that technique and you won't have to rely on rumor. Find out the truth or details yourself.Comment
