Finally ruined a sizing die from a stuck case...

I wish I saw this site before I f-ked up my die. My decapping pin just punched thru the bottom of the case when I was trying to hammer it out and this method has worked before in the past but not tonight. I ended up ruining the internal threads of the die. I was so pissed so I torched the whole freaking die. Oh well lesson learned and new die has been ordered.

what kind of die was it? RCBS sent me a complete sizing die threaded rod and pin when i bent my entire assembly for FREE. all i did was call them and explained that i was douche i was and they sent it without hesitation...

The good part is it's a Lee full sizing die so I was only down $20. Those Cabelas spray lube sucks. It seems to lack lanolin and all alcohol, unlike the Frankford Arsenal stuff that stays waxy even when dry.

It happens. I had a close call two weeks ago sizing a .223 brass. A very minimum amount of lube was on the brass. Luckily it pulled out.

.308, always seems to happen with the bigger caliber.

great site, I allmost bought one of the "kits" to do the same thing, but then learned that the dillion die can use the expander/decapper to remove its own stuck case.
