Dillon Powder Check Die will sound an alarm when there is overcharge or undercharge of powder. Yes it has proved to be worth it's weight in gold.

I have the Dillon powder check die on my 650 but i had it set to 45 grs rather than 46. I recalled why i had it setup at 45 grs. I initially setup my press to load 7.5 Swiss which i use 45 grs. I use 46 for 30-06.

Well since everyone is admitting to there F ups. The other day I was loading some .45, I took a shell off the press after the powder check just to see what the weight was. After I checked I put the shell back on the press placed the bullet on it and went on my merry way. After I loaded about 20-30 rounds I looked at my scale and low and behold the powder was still in it. So needless to say I have 20 or so assembled bullets and one of them has no powder in it.

I finally got around to shooting off the 200+ rounds I loaded with the wrong powder levels. Surprisingly to me I did not see any significant difference between rounds with my normal load of 46 grs and my lesser loads of 45 grs. I supposed I could actually find a compromise between the two and go with 45.5. All in all this wasn't such a bad thing after all.
