My goal is to make 2 different .308 loads. I'd like one load to be legal in the lead-free Condor Corridor and a 2nd load that is just cheap plinking ammo for having fun at the range. Right now I can find factory ammo non-lead ammo for around $1 a round and plinking quality with brass cases and box primers for $0.70 a round.
When I priced this stuff out at Midways last night I discovered that for a 150-grain bullet, I'm looking at $1.10 for plinking and $1.60 for non-load by reloading. What am I missing? My understanding was that reloading is a lot cheaper than buying factory ammo so is there another vendor I should use or some other secret to it?
Thanks for your time.
