What makes speer rounds burn so clean?

Anyone have any idea how the speer stuff burns so cleanly? I piked up a few at the range in .45 and they practically look unfired. If not, then does someone have a load in .45 that does burn this cleanly?

I use WST in 45. It burns really clean.

I would just ask around for other peoples experience in which powders burn the cleanest. Like already mentioned above.
Yeah, might not be able to get the same powder as the factories, but I'd like to think there has to be something close to it on the market.

                Why is that? Proprietary formulas?

Buy Wolf Ammo and you won't feel so bad. That stuff burns dirtier than old socks and poopy shorts in a bonfire.

                    Yes.

We will get those powders someday... when factory ammo uses self-propelled/guided/nuclear explosion bullets.

I was always happy with Win 231 for 9mm and .45

Yes they use Chemists to come up with a blend of powders achieve the desired results.

Vitta Vuori does burn very clean in both varieties I've tried[310,340], as does clays, 231 is ok unless the load is light then it gets dirtier

                              For .45 ACP,

I've tried Titegroup, Win 231, WSF, and one or two otherS....and so far Clays burns the cleanest.

Oh yea...Vihta Vuori is by far the best, but a little more than I am willing to pay for.
