    Pact Professional Xp Chrony

Does anyone have any feedback on the performance of this chronograph? When I set mine up & get ready to shoot, printer screen reads "start signal not detected." Yes, I've checked EVERYTHING & Pact's owners manual leaves a lot to be desired. I called them & their ONLY answer seems to be : "Send it to us W/ $10.00 for return shipping, and we'll have a look." WHAT!!!???

I've had that issue a couple times with mine. It seemed to only happen on overcast/coudy days, like the first skyscreen wasn't getting enough light on it. I changed the direction of my aim (on BLM land, not at a range) and the issue went away. moved it back and it returned.

On bright days I have never seen this problem return, and have probably used the Chrony 35 or 40 times now.

Hate to bother you/tell you this -- it was a cloudless, sunny, blue-sky day. however, (if this makes a difference), it was VERY windy--enough to blow the tripod over (I know, but it was a "light" fall & was on grass/dirt). Besides, PACT told me they wouldn't put out a product w/ such weak construction.

I actually have more issues with bright cloudless days than on bright overcast days.
