Looking to borrow/rent your Dillon Super Swager

Do you have a Dillon Super Swager tool with the small rifle rod and swage?

I'm in the East Bay and am looking to rent one for a couple of days. I have several thousand Lake City .223 cases all prepped but need to swage the crimped primer pockets and don't want to buy one for a once in a blue moon project.

One of our own Moderators, Ivanimal, dropped one off tonight (one hell of a guy, he is). And the Swager does the job perfectly.

Bob,

make sure you properly adjust the swager.

1) Gather all your match brass (LC, or whatever), and set the swager for ONLY THIS BRASS. Other brass may have slightly different dimensions, and the swager may oversize the primer pockets, or make the primer pockets oblong.

2) Swage 4 to 6 rounds, and then take them to your progressive press and insert primers into them for fit.

Once you have established the swager is properly set for the batch of brass on hand...swage away.

I had a buddy who borrowed mine, took it for granted that he set the swager properly, and ruined over 1000 rounds.

Follow the above steps, and you should be fine.
