I was thinking of doing the same... but when I found a Franklin Arsenal one that used a ordinary 5 gal bucket for $19.95, I jumped on it.

Here's another item I made the other day.... it's a shellplate holder made out of 1/8" abs plastic that I heat formed into a L-channel and notched some holes.

Not at all... especially since I'm only dealing with two calibers (5.56 & .308) at this time and also because the shell holders are numbered. (10 & 3, respectively)

I tend to agree. A loading tray that will do all calibers is only 6 bucks.
By the way, You can reload old primers with match heads, use motor oil as lube, and piss in the barrel for solvent.....NOT!

I can tell you how to turn a cheap 30 Rnd AK mag into a factory 10.

Yeah, I cheaped out and did the colander thing too. Works OK with walnut. I regret not buying the media seperator kit when I bought my FA tumbler. The problem is that if you shake a colander, the cases right themselves since the base is heavier and now you have all these little cases with media in them. The media seperator rotates so the case tumbler around and dump the media.

But since I cheaped out, I'll live with it, just gotta use your hand and scoop/dump the brass around until they are media free.

I'd say get another colander and clamp/hinge them together. That was you can roll it down the driveway. ;~)

So this is my homemade reloading tray. I got the idea when i saw a homemade tray that was made of wood. someone took piece of wood and drill some holes in it and bam.. reloading tray. well.. i dont really have any spare wood or a drill press. What i do have are used USPS flat-rate boxes that people have mailed me stuff in.

You know, every box of ammo you buy more or less comes with a "reloading tray". Sure the holes are close together, but it's basically free (or at least pre-paid)
