Call Barnes on Monday and ask them. If you are using TSX bullets, you can just use the same load data as you would for the equivalent weight lead bullet. Their tech support told me that last Monday when I called about another caliber.

If you emailed them on Thursday or Friday, you will probably get a response on Monday or Tuesday. They work a short day on Fridays.

Ok, i'll try them again. I had read there is a difference between lead and all copper loads,
but they would know better than anyone else.

          Thanks Guys

There can be a difference but, their TSX bullets were designed to shoot the same loads that lead bullets are. There other styles of bullets are not designed that way though.

That is not what Barnes told me when I spoke to them.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Call them tomorrow and ask specifically about load date for TSX bullets. They told me this last Monday. It would be interesting if they tell you something different.

I load barnes bullets in about 6 or 7 cartridges and I use the starting loads of the same weight conventional bullets (loaded .050" off of the lands) as my starting point for load development and work up slowly.

What kind of gun are you shooting?
Many people in Finland who reload 7.62x54R do so with .308 bullets to great success. There is a lot of published load data in Lapua manuals for the round using .30 cal projectiles.

I've tried .308s in 4 different rifles and they all have keyholed at 25 feet. But, I never tried them in a Finnish Mosin.

I'm loading them for a couple of 91/30 Mosin Nagants made in russia,
bores ranging from .312-.314. Wanted to load .308, but need something
                        closer to the bore size.

Barnes has a load data book on the market, it should contain the info your looking for.

because Finn bores are .308 not Mosin's .312+, mines is .314 so I cast my own, gas checked.
