EZJect is standard on all made after dec? 2008? or so. the case feeder was invaluable to me as a first time reloader. I t allowed me to focus on the more important parts of the process, not on shell placement on the press

There's a reason that dillon OWNs the market for competition shooters that shoot a LOT of ammo.
You won't find that reason in a simple written form though.
You have to experience it to understand.

It's sorta like comparing snap-on to craftsman tools.
On paper, Snap-On are not worth the extra money.

Actually I will need to reload 50 beowulf. Does anyone know the setup for this?

You will need a 7.62 x 39 shellplate (I forget the number) and I would recommend either Hornady or Redding dies; I am not sure which are better; the Lee dies I have for the Beowulf are not that good and I would not recommend them.

In that line of thinking Lee presses must be Harbor Freight.

              Yep.
Perfect for a single use, but don't depend on them if you want to use them daily.
How about those lee dies huh?

I'm using a LNL with case feeder... works well if setup correctly... has it's problems but I think all presses have some hiccups here and there..

Can you use the Hornady LNL Progressive with both the case and bullet feeder? I want to start reloading but know nothing about it. The Hornady set up looks very good from my researching.

As far as I know, the only automated bullet feeder is from RCBS and compatible with other brands of presses. $399 comes to mind.

Try this as one source and description:

That is aside from the very inexpensive and quirky version from Lee, which does actually work with some coaxing and some engineering talent.

The RCBS bullet feeder only works with pistol calibers as well, if you want one that works with any caliber you can try these guys:

Seriously - Thanks for all the information Calgunners. On one hand it's great to hear from lots of first hand experience, on the other hand, its a lot to digest.

I have a Hornady LNL and I love it. I wanted a auto progressive and the 650 was way out of my price range.

Definitely Harbor Freight, but at the time they were the only ones making .50 Beowulf dies.

Funny, set up with a case feeder the price for a 650 and a LNL are pretty close. Dillion is a great company and makes a great press but after talking to several people who have both, everyone of them recommended the LNL. No one I knew who had both recommended the Dillion but a lot of people who didn't own a LNL said it was the blue cool-aid or nothing. I wasn't worried about cost. I don't own a Dillion but I am happy with my LNL.

I am a mechanic and yes, Snap-On tools are noticeably better than Craftsman.
