How is this for a reloading bench?

I'm looking for a reloading bench for a spare bedroom and found this on sale, seems pretty good.

    I'll be mounting a Dillon 650 on it. Comments/suggestions?

The top definitely looks sturdy enough... and the drawers are a plus for storage.
I would suggest that you try securing the bench to the wall if possible for additional stability.

I think you would be happier with something more like this. If it will fit.
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.

Bolt it to the wall and the floor to make it more stable.
You could also put a few hundred pounds of bullets or lead shot on the bottom shelf to add stability.

actually took a look at one of these when i was at HF last. the quality, obviously, is pretty bad. fit and finish is rudimentary at best. and i don't know about you, but i like to have some leg space under my tables (might attribute that to being tall).

for that kind of money, you can easily build one yourself (for cheaper, to your specs) with some 2x4s and simpson strongties.

They have a larger version of that same table with the vise on the side. Its an awesome bench. We have clamped the case trimmer in the vice, a dillon super swage in the vice.. Its real handy..

            FWIW you wont regret it.

I found another reloading bench by Stack-on & Waterloo that's more specific to reloading:

Anyone have one of these? Seems perfect for a small work area.

you won't go wrong with a Waterloo. It is very sturdy and no need to put extra weight for stability. This is made of steel and it's very heavy.

If you're just a starter and just want to know the basics of reloading this is the reloader for you. It's simple, easy to use and you could load thousands of ammo with this one. I load mainly .45 ammio and I cannot say anything bad about this reloader. Investment wise, you could start reloading for just a fraction of the cost of a Dillon setup. If you are just looking for a starter reloader, this is it and you will not regret it.

                        weak

I think it will be to weak for reloading. costco has a good looking one for $199 with a steal frame. the HFT ones start to wobble after a short period of time.

^that's because they're all butt-joints held together by a single drywall screw

you could reinforce it were you so inclined, but with the added extra effort + materials... look elsewhere. HF should be best reserved for replaceable one-time tools.

I was planning on getting the same one for reloading, looking at it in person at the HF store, I think it'll be perfect for my needs. The top is SOLID oak..plenty of meat to bolt the press to. The steel framed tables might require reinforcement at the mounting location.

650's do not like bench movement! More movement on the benches part the more problems the 650 will give you.
