Son messed with my reloading scale...

I have a dillon reloading scale.... The "seesaw" type one with the little metal basket on one end...

Anyways... The 7 year old was in the garage, decided it looked like something fun to play with. The bar was off the scale.... It looks like its bent a bit...



Is this thing screwed?

Do I need to bite the bullet (no pun intended) and buy a new one?

I think you should be fine if you carefully straighten it out. If you have a calibration weight you can double check it's accuracy. If you are in The North OC area I can bring a digital to compare it to.

I would think it would be fine being that it was bent in that direction and not in the downward plane.
I do like your bolt/thread gauge in the picture... need one like that.

Ive been racking my brain to come up with something that I knew the weight of to see if its still accurate...


I set it to 115 grains. Tossed on a 115 Gr 9MM bullet and it zeros out. So Im guessing that its GTG. I may try a 300Gr 338 in a few to see if that works too.

I don't think I would try to straighten it --The slight bend does not really affect it. But, I would examine the knife edges closely for any damage.

I think thats close enough for disco.... I think my biggest load (338 lapua magnum) is just over 100 Grains. So I should be fine.
