    Parts list

O.K., I hate to start a whole new thread about this but I need some advice.

I am going to order a dillon setup today. I have decided on everyones advice to do a 550 because I think the 650 will probably be more then I will need. I don't plan on doing mass reloads, maybe 100-200 at a time. I am looking for the components I will need to do 308 and 223.

I will have a table I can mount it all to. It is a 4' by 4' and about 2 inches thick. Will this be o.k. to use or do I need a more solid mounting surface?

Besides the press, what else should I purchase and what is a good place to order one?

2" thick should be fine. The important part is how it's mounted to the legs and floor. If you get a sticky case and need to put extra leverage on the handle, you don't want to be tipping your bench off the floor. What material is the table top made out of? If it's particle board, you may want to run the bolts all the way through the top and bolt them from underneath.

Where are you getting your setup from?

I have not decided just yet. I may order it direct unless you can suggest a better place to go.

        My list to you:

I thought we have gone over this on your last post

And TODAY(from midway), I will order 2 of the things I said I don't have from my previous post:
        - Chrono: Shooting Chrony Alpha Master
        - Military crimp removal tool: Cheapy Hornady Primer Pocket Reamer Tool
        - Funnel with Long Drop Tube (to help pack the powder) this @ Midway

        WRT your 4' x 4' table, that's OK. Mine is only 2' x 2.5'(it is more like a stand...)

You can get EVERYTHING you need from 2 places: Dillon & Midway.

BTW, if you are thinking about switching back and fro between 308 and 223... you should consider the easy caliber kit from Dillon.... it makes so much sense... (altho pretty pricy)

Your potential Dillon order (their site is not the easiest to find things):
        - RL500B (w/ 223 conv kit included) (stock# K12063)
        - 223 rifle 3-dies set (stock# 10839)
        - 308 rifle 3-dies set (stock# 15574)
        - 308 conv kit (stock# 20130)
        - Dillon 223 Case Gauge (stock# 13254)
        - Dillon 308 Case Gauge (stock# 12867)
        - Dillon Terminator Digital Scale OR Eliminator Loading Scale

Thanks. I may order from Graf and Sons if they get my FFL in order, if not Dillon it is. Thanks for the help.
