I've been reloading shotshells and all shapes and sizes of brass since the 60s but I've never seen anything about reloading slugs until I did a little investigating this week. Mostly I found information on reloading for rifled barrels, nothing on reloading for a smoothbore. I want to shoot the Foster or Brenneke-type "rifled" slugs, or something like the Federal Truball. Or maybe there's something else that will work in a smoothbore? I've heard of a wasp-wasted saboted slug that's supposed to work in smoothbores. Anyone loading slugs for smoothbores?

I've cast a few of the Lee 1oz slugs and shot 'em. The press was the Load-All II. They seem to work just fine in a smoothbore, but the 12 gauge's kick is a bit much for my shoulder, so I stopped doing that. Ouch...."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"
F***ing with people's heads, one gun show at a time. Hallelujah!

Check out the HORNADY 366 AUTO vidao below my signature. (They are the very first videos I had ever done).
Don't know exactly what you are interested in (reloading only, or casting them as well), but I am shooting them out of a Remmy 870P smooth bore.
