    XL-650 Primer Modifications

No more unfired and spent primers all over the floor.

The Ski Jump fix was a piece of 5/8" clear plastic tubing over the end of the Ski Jump. The spent primer fix was the adapter and the plastic hose into a spent primer collection vessel.

I haven't had my 650 for that long by I have not had a problem with spent primers overflowing the discard bin but I had unused primers jumping the ski jump. I like the overflow tube set up.

What adapter? Can you explain how you made this?

I did the modification over the weekend and it works great. Just be sure to make the hole larger than the tube or it will hang up and stop the press from moving up and down. I didn't put a sleeve in the table like Chief did because I didn't want a big hole on my table. However, I think the sleeve would prevent the tube from getting caught up so I plan to do it this weekend. Thanks for the tip.

Man you lost me. What modification and how? How did you make the piece that is bolted under the press and out of what materials? Any instructions anywhere?
