Corrosive means salt from the primer, so if you don't clean it, moisture in the air will cause rust.

Be sure to douse all interanls with Windex after shooting! (before leaving the range or where ever)

Then clean normally.

Windex is mostly water, and water is what you need to flush out the corrosive salts that are left by the primers. Regular gun cleaning solvents can't dissolve the salts. Windex also has detergent to help clean powder fouling and ammonia to remove copper fouling. But using plain hot water in addition to your regular cleaning routine also works.

Scrub the parts(with a toothbrush) with powder fouling on it with the Windex. Also run a couple of Windex soaked patches down the bore. Dry all the parts and bore off and clean as usual with your normal solvents and oil afterward. Check the gun a day or two after cleaning to be sure you got all of the salts off.

Normal petroleum based solvents DO NOT get the salts off. Water based products do. And it is not the ammonia in Windex that neutralize the salts, It's the water and detergent in it.
