Please recommend a .308 load for an M1a

I'm now set up to load for .308 and I'm looking for a good recipe that'll work with my M1a (and occasionally an SAR8). I have a good amount of IMR4064 and a few hundred Remington 150gr bullets, so if you have a successful load with that powder and bullet weight, please let me know.

While I'm at it, will 43gr of 4064(the low end of listed data) still cycle an M1a or SAR8?

    Thanks!

Your load should work. 41.4 grains of IMR4064 behind 168 BTHP Sierra Match King shot real well out of most of my 308 rifles. It's a proven and standard load for some competition shooter from way back.

SAR-8 has fluted chamber and recoil operated so the brass would have these flute marks on them. Very hard to resize and seriously decreases the brass life. Sometimes the ejection port dings them pretty bad too. You might want to think about reloading for the SAR8 on the last time you'd use the brass. I no longer shoot my SAR-8 for this one reason.
