.30-06 Greek Brass

I picked up a bunch of the surplus Greek 30-06 brass at my range the other day. According to the range master, no one wanted it when they found out it was Greek surplus.

Is the brass of too poor quality to reload?

no it reloads fine just check that it is boxer primed and it will be fine

One flash hole ok. Two flash holes scrap brass.

Greek brass is good stuff.

Just remove the crimp from the primer pocket and you are GTG.

Its really good stuff, you're lucky the guys before you at the range were morons. The best part is you wont even have to remove the crimp. Its a 3 point star crimp that has never given me any problems and I have never bothered to remove it from the hundreds of cases I have reloaded.

Make sure it has HXP on the headstamp. Another brand of Greek ammo called Olympic is junk, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Hopefully the confusion will be to your benefit, and the brass is Pyrkal (HXP).
