    Where to buy powder?

Hi, I recently got into reloading and have most of the equipment and some components. I am looking for a source of powder. I will also need bullets and primers down the line, when my supply runs out. Where is the cheapest place to get components? I live in the Sacramento and Los Angeles areas. Are there any group buys going on?
    Thanks

I like Powder Valley and Grafs. They are online stores. You'll have to pay $20 hazmat but it'll still come out cheaper than the stores in my area if you order in bulk. Are you loading pistol? An 8lb jug will load like 10K rounds. So if you just order 1 or 2 jugs you'll be set for a long time. Also if you buy primers in the same order you'll only have to pay one hazmat fee.

For me it's just cheaper to buy local than online. Ace hardware, CVS (Longs) has powder for less than $25/lb. The hazmat fee for online purchase is $25 alone. Add shipping plus the powder for about $15/lb. and it quickly ads up to about $50/lb. for a 1lb. purchase. You would probably break even or save a bit on a 4 lb. purchase buying online. Have to buy the 8 lb. container to save money.
Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel , "Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land."

Nearly 75 years ago (when Welfare was introduced) the democrat party said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this is the Promised Land."

Now obama and the dems have stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of Camels,
        and mortgaged the Promised Land!
