    reloading costs

Can anybody tell me what is the cost per round in .40 reloaded if I have brass already? Thinking of buying reloading machine.
If I don't count the cost of the reloader, but only cost of components, what would it be per round? Thanks.

Invaluable. How much do you shoot? Primer .03. Bullet .10? Powder $20/lb or less/ 7000gr/lb. There are reloading calculators/spreadsheets on google and on Calguns

I did the calculation for a 10mm a few days ago. Considering the cost of bullets, primers, and powder (1k for bullets and primers and 4 lbs for powder), I believe it came out to about 18 cents.

Yeah...everytime i place an order from Missouri, i get the feeling i need to cast my own. Much more time consuming than just loading, but the savings are incredible if you cast your own.

Dunno about .40 but I pay about $140 for 1k copper plated .45 bullets (can be alot less for lead) $70 for 1k primers and about $27 for a lb. of powder which will load alot more then 1k. It ends up being a big savings plus gives you something else to do out in the garage. In know this is not an exact number but still a good referance IMHO.

If you really like to shoot
You either need to have allot of money or reload to save more money to buy more guns

awesome. Thanks everyone. I have been thinking about this. I can easily shoot 1000 rounds in one trip to the range. Especially when it goes well.

Saving money is icing on the cake. It is a really fun hobby that will expand your understanding of shooting. I enjoy the reloading almost as much as the shooting, especially since I can reload at night, in the rain, when the kids are sick........
