You mean besides Dillon? You could try Irvington Arms in Fremont. They're a Dillon dealer and might have it.

a shellplate is killing you? Frign order it from dillon or brian enos. YOu'll have it in 2 days. What gets me the most is someone "dying" to get a part for cheap. If you need it, buy it, don't wait for some shell plate to appear in the sales section here.

It's what? $30 or so from Dillon. Not much to spend for a life saving item.

Have you tried calling Dillon? Or did you mean you want to find it locally so you don't have to wait?
Why do you only need the shell plate? Did you get the others parts used or something?

1911Operator, I just realized you posted the other day about just getting the 550b, right?
Just in case you don't know, you need more than just the shell plate to load 45. You also need a powder funnel and locator buttons. Dillon sells these as caliber conversion kits for $44.

So you bought the 550b from i&s and it was not complete? Taken from Dillon's site:

                    The basic 550 includes:

Machine with caliber conversion kit (shellplate, locator buttons, powder funnel) in the caliber of your choice.
Powder measure with standard large and small powder bars (small installed), Small bar throws from 2.1 to 15 grains of powder Large bar throws up to 55 to 60 grains of powder.
One prime system with large and small priming parts.
One large and one small pick up tube
                    One toolhead
                    One powder die
                    One loaded cartridge catch bin
                    One written instruction manual
One set of standard Allen wrenches

                    No dies are included.

Judging by that i&s screwed you over, I would call and or give them a visit and let them know you were missing parts. Take care.

You will quickly realize that the world of Dillon reloading and their parts are ALL mail order. Very few dealers around here have a partial stock, if that. Irvington may have like polish and lube and maybe a .303 british conversion kit for a 650 or some crap like that.

You might as well program their phone number in your phone or bookmark their website, you will be dealing directly through them or brianenos.com from now on.

Sorry for being blunt, but that's just the way it is.

BrianEnos.com was way too cool. When I placed my order within in hours he called me to say, that I was ordering parts that I didn't realize was included in the package so he removed from my order. A real stand up guy. I plan to be a return customer with Enos for a long time.
