    Load data typo?

I'm reloading .45 ACP with 185 grn XTP's with Hodgdon Universal. In my booklet that came with the Lee starter kit, it says the max load is 7.2 grains of Univ. Online it says for the same load, it's 6.4 grains. Just wondering if I should pull bullets and go with the lower load. Any advice?

Toss the Lee book since it is junk! Use three different resources for load information.

XL-650 to feed the: .45ACP's Les Baer Concept V, Ruger SR 1911, Ruger Nightwatchman, custom built Colt M1911, Springfield .45ACP Loaded.. 9MM SA Range Officer,Ruger P-85, Springfield Stainless 9MM loaded, SA 9MM 5.25" XDM, Springfield 9mm Stainless Range Officer, STI double stack .45ACP.

Ok, thanks. The lee book is made by Hodgdon for their powders, so it looked legit. Also, the loads I've been using for my Kimber Custom are 7.0 grains, and I haven't had any problems, just wanna know if I'm jacking up my pistol!

        Hope this helps:

The powder that you are using is limiting you loads.

I know that at least one reloading company has released printed data (in the past) that wasn't safe under all circumstances...... and I'm thinking there's a chance there's been more than one.

I would guess/assume that the company site has the most up-to-date data.

.45acp is pretty forgiving as far as pressures. OAL is quite important for feeding reliability. You might already know that.......

          all the best,
          Mike
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?
