    Reloading Components at Gun Shows

    Hey all,

I was thinking about going to the Ventura gun show coming up next June and I was wondering whether or not Miwall sells primers and powder at decent prices? I was thinking I'd get a couple K of primers I don't have, like Small Pistol, Large Pistol, and Large Rifle and a versatile powder like Varget.

Any word or experience in pricing of powder and primer from Miwall, or in general, at the gun shows hosted by Crossroads of the West?

Miwall, primers good price. Last month wolf were $23 per 1k and winchester were $30 per 1k.

Powder ok price, havent seen varget in a while but they usually have H322 and 700x which are what I use.

Fair enough, I'll have to see for myself when the gun show rolls around. Too bad it's during the weekend before finals.

It's hit and miss. IIRC, VC fairgrounds has banned the sale of powder so, you might not find any there.

There was one vendor in the middle with a good supply. it was going for $24.95 for a 1 lb can. The small pistol primers were gone by 1:00 which is when I was there.

MilWal did not have powder but there where 2 other vendors that did. One of them even had a lot of 8# jugs including Varget.

At the Ventura Show in March, Milwall had primers and powder (various types) for about 2-3 hours. There were also several other vendors with some supplies.

just my 2 cents. I was at the costa mesa gunshow. There is a guy there who sets up just inside the gate. I don't remember what the primers were but the cost was cheaper than anywhere else and tons of powder from 18.95 to 21.95 per pound. He said he only does that gunshow because it is within an hour of where he lives. He buys 2 million primers at a time and who knows how much powder. See you there.
