    Cure for leading problems?

Hello, I generally load 200g SWC for .45 and 122g FP for 9mm. I have tried several brands and varying hardness and I find that I get fouling no matter what. I have swagged my barrels and I found my .45 to be .453 and my 9mm to be .357. I use Clays and Bullseye for the .45 and Clays and Unique for the 9mm.

So should I go with wider bullets, .454 and .357 to get a better seal? My only problem with this solution is if I end up trying to crimp the rounds, will it shrink and elongate the bullet?

Should I find a slower burning powder? Does Alox really help? Or am I stuck with cleaning up the lead?

I would try the larger diameter. I shoot .454" and .358" without any issues and no leading. Regarding the crimp, it's taper crimp and should just be enough to close up the mouth so it's just against the bullet. It shouldn't be pushed into the bullet, since the cartridge headspaces on the casemouth.

BTW the hard crayon like bullet lube more casters use it not very effective, but it's neat and stays in the lube groove during transit.
    Luck favors the prepared.

I use moly coated bullets from Bear Creek. Never had any leading issues what so ever. Even when in pushing the 1000FPS mark in my 10mm.

+1 on the coated bullets. Never had any leading with Precision bullets.
