    My Recipe for .308 Match

Bullet: 168 Grain Sierra HPBT Match
    Powder: 42.6 Grains IMR 4064
Primer: CCI Large Rifle Bench Rest Primers
Brass: Federal Match trimmed to 2.01"
    OAL: 2.82"

Point of impact is the same at 100 yds and 200 yds compared to commercial Federal Gold Medal Match coming out of my 700P with a 26" barrel. Sorry, I don't have a chrono.

Were the 100 yard and 200 yard targets on the same level ground? I find it hard to believe that the 100 and 200 yard zeros would be the same.

Unless the load is so mild as to where the bullet is apexing between the 100 and 200 yard targets.

I believe OP is saying that at 100 it impacts where Federal GMM impacts at 100, and at 200 it impacts where Federal GMM impacts at 200.

Not yet, but that'll be next. Haven't had too much of a need.. 168 grains have served me well up to 1000 yds in ~ 10 MPH winds and I don't get many opportunities to put out targets pass 200 yds.

Just a suggestion - switch your primer to 210M and reduce your charge to 42.5 with 4064. This should match FGMM 168 load and you should have better ES/SD.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Timberwolf, knows his stuff. Has helped me out of load challenges in the past. A LOT of Great Knowledge/Experience. Thanks again.

Good choice, I've been shooting 42.5 grains of IMR4064 with the 165 grain Hornady BTSP for a hunting load in my 308Win for 20+ years.

I'll probably end up feeling stupid for asking.. but what is "ES/SD?" I'll give your suggestion a try next time i'm buying components. I originally wanted to use the Federal 210M primers, but they were on backorder for the longest time at Midsouth. This is actually the first time I ever reloaded.. but I reloaded using a variation of powder charges and OAL. Next factor to vary: the primer.

I'm using an old Bonanza.. now known as Forster Co-Ax press with the Forster Ultra Micrometer Bench Rest Seater die set.

Center to center fluxuated between almost all touching (when I started) to approximately .75 MOA by the end of the day. That could be attributed to the wind picking up, barrel heating, dirty barrel (didn't clean for 60+ rounds) and of course ME fatiguing I'll take some measurements and pictures next week shooting both reloads and Federal GMM.

ES - extreme spread - max deviation in velocity in a given string - normally 10 shots

SD - standard deviation - the average deviation shot to shot

                            ES/SD = hoodoo-voodoo b.s. for anything 300 yards and under

I beg to differ - it could be the difference between a 2MOA load and a .5 MOA load. Case in point get a box of M118LR and shoot it next to FGMM 175s from the same rifle @ 300 yards. M118LR is known for its wide swinging ES/SDs due to the sealant and FGMM is very low.
