Bay Area Powder group buy.

I never started a group buy, but was thinking this might be a good way to go.
If I can get 3 others to buy one 8LB container of powder they will wave the $25 Haz-Mat fee. The buy will be from Hi-Tech Ammo. Link below

I live in middle of Bay Area (Emeryville), so I think this will be a good place to pick up. If you're in post here & PM me for payment info. all so the powder you want. If you order one container the price should be under $102.00. Also if you have any better ideas how to make this easy for everyone please let me know.

It's good stuff actually Raymond, I know Joe(logic) uses it now.

I am in for a 8# Jug of WC 844, are you buying bullets or primers too?

I'm halfway through an 8-pound jug odf H335. (Powder Valley- $126.00).

Primers I get from Graf & Sons.

But I hear good things from WC-844.

Will keep my ear to the ground.

846 is basically BL-C(2). So its good for .223 and .308. I bought it for heavy weight .308. No testing done yet.

What i'm afraid of is it being pulldowns. They pulldown this powder from the same batch or different batches from ammo ranging to be 1-75 years old? So are we getting batch powder mixtures that are between 1-75 years old? With a possibility of some "different" manufacturer powder mixed in?

Group buys are good, but I really wouldn't touch that stuff. Too many unknowns and chances for error, bad quality, you name it. I don't see the savings in gambling good components and valuable time on a minor powder $ saving.

Good luck with it though - post some range reports when you guys get some experience with it.

I don't know if you were asking "me" that question or not.

But I am going in with another buddy on four 8-pound jugs of H-335 for now.

I feel more comfortable sticking to what I know, than going in a "gray area" direction. But that doesn't mean that this thread is a bad deal...as it might just be a great deal.

I will tug on Joe's ear a bit later, after he has shot a few rounds downrange for accuracy.

844 is basically BL-C(2). So its good for .223 and .308. I bought it for heavy weight .308. No testing done yet.

WC844 is equivalent to H-335 and is used to load 5.56 Ammunition.
WC846 is equivalent to BL-C2 and is used to load 7.62 NATO Ammunition.

WC-844 (H-335) works well in .308 Winchester loads, I've been using WC844 and H-335 for years in loading .223 ammo and .308 Win. ammo.
