    flash hole size

Does the flash hole affect ballistics? I have loaded some rounds using new federal brass that was already primed and the flash holes are noticeably larger and more asymmetrical than brass from a white box of winchester. Would a flash hole uniformer tool be useful in this case?

This was my first batch and they all fired just fine using 230 gr berry's TMJ RN with 4.5-4.8 gr bullseye and a 1.263 OAL.

In short pistol ammo like the 45ACP, it aint going to make much if any difference in the performance of the round. I just checked my stock and found the same Federal 45 brass with the larger flash hole. I just load them up with all the other brands I have. Just leave the primer pockets alone and loadem up the same as any other brass. In rifle bottle neck brass that was used for target shooting. Well that would be a different story..

Dont worry about it unless your shooting rifle and trying for a sub MOA group. I only do it for my brass when I shoot NRA Highpower
