    Wolf Ammo

Never tried Wolf ammo, but almost everything I have been told about Wolf has been bad.

Anyone have any good experiences with it ?

I have shot Wolf flawlessly through my 1911, Beretta 92FS, Mosin Nagants, SKS's, AK's and several AR's.

I have never had one misfire or jam using this stuff. The only problem I have ever had with Wolf is that it is dirty. That's because the steel casings do not expand in the chamber like copper does and some of the carbon washes out into the chamber and bolt area but if you clean your guns you should be fine. I will tell you that I have gotten acceptable accuracy but not supreme using Wolf so if you are trying to do extremely accurate shooting you should probably look for brass cased stuff.

Oh and I won't shoot anything besides Wolf out of my AK's, anything else would be sacrilegious.

Mostly good, but a few problems with pierced primers in x39 and 9x18, and most of the rest of the 9x18 would not fire at all. Make SURE you can return it and that they will pay the shipping as well. Also, don't sit on the stuff. Try it out right away so you don't find out your shtf stash is a bad batch in a few years.

Ed Browns- no problem, my Kahrs- only use it if you want to practice malfunctions.

Read up because there are plenty of people who never had a problem with Wolf.
Besides the fact that it is dirty, and steel cased, it's not bad. I shoot it, It's g2g.
BUT, it doesn't do magic with everyone. It tends to be picky, so shoot it, try it, and see if its worth it or not.

I have shot Wolf fine in my AR (223), AK (7.62x39) & Glock 19 (9mm) without issues.

A bit underpowered, but not as dirty as everyone says so. I don't shoot it all the time, but when I have, it was fine.

No problems for me...thousands of rounds of .223 in 3 different ARs and .45 ACP in Glock 36. They like it just fine. Haven't used yet in my 9mms.

So just out of curiosity why does it get such a bad wrap. I mean I've heard a lot and i mean A LOT of bad things about wolf: It breaks guns, they wont let you shoot it at ranges, not very accurate, and so on. One of em was a guy that literally lets other people think for him, so i dunno how "first hand" his knowledge is. Is it just that the rest of the people that talk smack are ammo snobs or something?

I guess what i'm really getting at is - Why does everyone seem to have a problem with this ammunition?

Wolf primers, shotshells, 22LR ammo are excellent.

I now reload with Wolf primers for my large and small rifles. Shoot 12 and 20 Gauge and 22LR ammo for competitions.

I put over 1k through my XD45 before I started reloading, no problems...
