    .30 Carbine ammo ?

Is .30 carbine a powerful round? Because I saw a revolver in .30 cal.Ballistic terms?

~2000fps in a rifle. Decent varmint round. Velocity would be less in a pistol.

about 1950 fps for a 110gr FMJ from an 18" or whatever the M1 Carbine barrel length is

At close range it will go through almost 1/4" of mild steel.

Out of a revolver, I would expect to loose 400-500fps, I hear you get a nice fireball though

with a revolver you dont have to chase your brass at least

i swear the automag 3 feels like you are holding a 2x4

This info is for rifle-length barrels of course but according to Doc Roberts, good SP ammo for the 30 carbine is a good performer, even through intermediate barriers and Level IIIa armor....
