    .308 Ammo Question

How is .308 American Eagle and PMC ammo for a SA58? In fact how are they in general, any caliber? Those seem to be the cheapest domestic ammo at this time. I really want to stay away from the Indian Milsurp.

I think the only issue to worry about is possible soft primers in a semi auto. I dont know that much about FALs though.

I was just over on the DSA site and there's an "Ammunition Warning" tab. They specifically say not to use Russian, Chinese or Indian (I think) Milsurp and steelcase ammo.
I just paid $99.95 for a case of 200 Remington UMC online. It's a real drag when fifty cents a round seems like a decent price.

I think you're in the same boat as me swhatb. Winchester White Box, American Eagle, Remington UMC and maybe some others for inexpensive rounds. Prvi Partizan is supposed to be okay and is around ten bucks a box too. Oh yeah, PMC's pretty cheap. I think if you want more match type ammo you're gonna have to pay a lot more.

Also look at Georgia Arms' website. They have a 150gr. offering that they say is basically loaded to the same specs as Nato 7.62x51. With shipping it comes out to about 40 cents per round.
