RCBS SCALE JUST TOOK A DUMP...

so i need 50rds for the next LR match. the scale just took a major dump on me after charging the 50th load. it's a rangemaster 750 scale. after the 50th charge the display screen now says "2001"??? i turned it off and on and it still just says "2001" when i push the "zero" button it says "0011"???
anybody else have this problem before. i usually make an extra 2 or 3 rds for matches in case something happens but i doubt this thing will be fixed before next weekend...

0011 could be an error code for "3", whatever the heck that's supposed to mean, not sure if it's in the manual or not

It's good to have backups: powder thrower + beam scale.

unfortunately there are no error codes listed in the 750 manual. i'm going to have to do some research...
i totally forgot i have a beam type scale backup- i've never used it though. i guess it's time to blow the dust off the thing and see what happens. the technological age is a wonderful place to live, so long as everything works like it should...

At least it won't throw out an error code

My Chargemaster took a dump. It was out of warranty but RCBS fixed it for $45 (which included shipping back to me. Turnaround was about a week.

I'd suggest giving them a call Monday morning. There should be a reset code for your scale that might fix the problem. I had to do it to mine several months ago.

I know using a beam style is not that much fun, but sure beats having an error code stop you in your tracks. I hope you get yours back up and running real soon

thanks for all the offers guys!
i'm going to figure out how to use that DINOSAUR beam scale i have downstairs somewhere in the pile of stuff i never thought i'd use...
i'll give RCBS a call first thing tomorrow and see if they can troubleshoot it over the phone.
the warranty is for 1 yr.- it's been 1yr 3months... i dont mind paying $45 for out-of-warranty repair if it lasts another year. it was good to me and never even had any issues...

just finished using the beam scale for the first time. it's actually very accurate and repeatable. i was just lucky to only have needed a few extra rounds because it's definitely not as fast as the loadmaster
