Is this DAG ammo tar sealed?

The reviews on Midway don't mention that, but they are mixed.

If its milspec, I would assume it is tar sealed.

Thanks guys. I didn't read the reviews (duh....) PTRs are having problems, which is a combination of low power and fouling.

the primer sealant is clear and green in color....what would tar look like? no apparent sealer on the neck>>>

Bullet sealant, tar that is, is only visible if you pull the bullet. It's inside the neck of the case, and looks like a dry dusty residue after the projectile is pulled.

is there anything else used as sealer...and is this only a milsurp characteristic?

Yeah....

Technically, it's not "Tar" per se. I think it's technically "shellac" but... (details )

They also use paint/eurethane sometimes....
