Sorting brass question.

This is going to be hard to explain....when sorting brass, is all lake city good to go together?

What I mean is whether it's marked LC 08, LC 06, LC 94.....when I work up a load, should it all be from the same year or just as long as it's all lake city (or all winchester, etc...)

It would be used to reload for an AR-15.

With lake city i then sort them by weight , I dont worry about the year

It's coming out of an AR. I only sort by brand not year. If you were shooting it out of say a Remington 700, then yes.

I don't sort by year, only brand (LC, rem, win, fed...). I have not noticed a big difference in accuracy. I do know a few guys who do though. If it makes you feel better it does not hurt and could actually help. Worth trying if you have enough to test.

For blaster ammo I let everything ride.

I usually sort by headstamp then by cantalure then by year if your so inclined if marked like LC or WCC
