OK for those of you that use military brass do you Swage or ream your brass?

I used to swage but now I use a reamer on Hornady LNL Prep center.

Used to do the RCBS deburring tool trick, but now use their swager. I like how uniform it gets the pockets without removing any material.

I've bent the 'small' swaging head a few times. However, unless you separate your brass by brand, mil vs. commercial, and even date, you're going to bend it a few times.

Luckily, RCBS replaces all parts for free!

Swage. Used to use a chamfer tool but I saw the swagers and decided that I could build some tooling for my press(retired machinist). Works quite well.

I hire CSAcannoneer for that stuff and recycle any new crimped stuff that i find.
For the little i load on a single stage, it's easier to send a bunch out for a full prep job, including swage.

After reaming like 1k 5.56 LC casings and punishing the hands It was time to get a Dillon Super Swage 600. Well worth the cost if you are processing alot of military crimped brass.

I swage a few thousand and toss them in a box. When it comes time to load them, all cases get uniformed on my RCBS TrimMate case prep center including a quick flash hole de-burring. So, I guess I do both.

Ream, with a Lyman tool chucked in a cordless drill. I'm in the process of upgrading some of my gear. I'm probably going to buy a Wilson trimmer with a reaming attachment. Kill two birds with one stone.
