i was testing out a sig 9mm at the range by locking the slide back and putting in a full magazine and letting the slide slam to test the mag and feed ramp. it worked fine but after doing this for about 5 times with the same round, the normally showing part of the bullet was pushed back about 1/3 way into the brass.
I don't know anything about re-loading ammo, so I threw it away that round to be safe. But I am wondering if that round would have been safe to shoot?

. When I racked the slide to clear it I got a bed full of powder and an empty case and a bullet still in the chamber.
