Ok long overdue. Finally going to reload. Looking to reload 9mm,.40,.45,223,308. Please list equipment I need. Basically one stop shopping list to set up and start reloading. If u suggest a kit that's fine as long as I don't have to replace presses and what not for better oneS down the line. Thanks.

If your going to load in volume go with a progressive loader like a dillon 550b. If not in volume buy a RCBS rockchucker . Or both. The dillon will produce 2-400 rounds in an hour and is easy to use. The RCBS is great for load development . For a list of equipment see reloading 101 at the top of the page. -

On the serious side- i started off with a rockchucker supreme kit that i still use-however i added a case prep center, electronic scale, and a manual trimmer to cover everything... i hardly ever reload pistol cases though and i'm a low volume LR shooter.... i'm sure someone will chime on with a dillon 550 or 650 for those pistol cases... Good luck! and dont forget to add at least 3 reloading manuals to that list.Comment

I know it's easy to ignore the stickies in forums... but there are two in this exact forum with exactly what you're asking for.......

RCBS just makes better stuff. With the single stage presses you'll probably be fine with any brand. But the RCBS will load more accurate rounds. But with accessories like scales, hand primers, and other odds and ends, RCBS makes quality products built to last.
BTW, if I was going to buy a progressive press than I wouldn't get either. I'd go with Dillon or Hornady.Chris

If all three were equally good why would anybody spend the money on a dillon if they could get the same thing out of a lee? Did you mean "equally good for the money"? Because to say that a lee progressive is equally good to a dillon is silly.
I have read numerous accounts of the lee beam scale not working well. Most people that I know that owned one say to throw it away and get an RCBS/Dillon (I think they're made by the same company).
I personally have experience with numerous single stage presses and the RCBS has much tighter tolerances than the other brands which is important for BR shooting, which is why I made the accuracy comment. Some of the lee SS presses aren't even cast.
As most things in life, I believe you get what you pay for.
Also, these are just my opinions, YMMV.Chris
