So I just finished going through 1000 rounds of 9mm once fired brass I've had laying around, fishing out the .380s and reject 9mm's. Ended up with a few 9x18's and 9mm makarovs which are a little harder to pick out. So amid my scanning for shorter cases, I pick out one that looks a little short and is likely a 9mm makarov, so I look at the head stamp and its a 9mm luger but its .053 inches shorter than a 9mm! Clearly the size of a 9mm makarov but labeled "G.F.L. 9mm LUGER"
Could this be a mis-labeled piece of brass or maybe someone got trim happy and wanted to try and cut down a 9mm luger to 9mm mak?
Pictured left to right is a Winchester 9mm Luger case, the mis-labed/extremely short case, and a true 9mm makarov case
