Reloading steel cased ammo?

I have heard some that do and i'm scratching my head as to why. First of all the casings would play hell on your die set as most cases have a lacquer coating to keep the casing from corroding and that would gum up your sizing die. Steel is also less malleable then brass and may not size properly. If its berdan primed cases, and most steel cases are, it would be an absolute PITA to decap the case with much success. I'm not an expert here but I think let the steel lie and load the brass!sigpicWango Tango! -
In theory, yes but I don't personally know anyone who does, or has...
Even Berdan brass cases can be reloaded but very few people do...Comment

My dad has reloaded some steel case wolf 223. It works fine, the steel is very soft and works in the dies just fine. He reloads it every now and then for blasting ammo that he does not have to pick up.Comment

My wife's husband has loaded about 60 cases of Wolf without issues. He used cheap Lee dies and Lee cutting tools without issues.Comment
