    powder & primers

    Hello,

I recently bought a dillon 650 for reloading match ammo. I have been competing uspsa for a year now and i'm ready to step up my game for some wins.

I got the press from a guy in California. He shipped everything except the primers and powder. He says in order to ship the haz mat there has be a registered dealer shipping number or something? It has been a few months and still nothing.

I am in Tx so we just pay the haz mat fee and send it on its way. I realize you guys have a few extra hoops to jump through and i want to make sure i find out my own info on how to do this correctly.

Can they be shipped through an FFL ?

Does it involve a dealer with a special haz mat shipping number?

Or can somebody refer me to someone or point the direction?

    Thanks for any help,

    Wolf

haz does not need to be shipped through an FFL, he just needs to take himself to UPS or FEDEX and declare it as hazmat and fillout the correct paper work and ship it to you...

I may be wrong, so if I am someone please correct me

Hazmat is a DOT thing not a FFL thing. Person will have to go to a Hazmat certified shipper. If powder and primers were included in the sale just ask for a part of your money back. Probably easier.

I think there are also packaging requirements.
FEDEX and UPS both handle hazmat, but getting part of your money back is probably the best way to handle it.
