    .308 nickel

Is Fed GMM nickle just as reload-able as Fed GMM brass, does it wear out quicker or does it last longer than regular brass?

Nickeled cases reload just fine. An observation, but seems like I get cracked necks earlier with nickeled cases that with brass. I didn't do an empirical study but that's what is seems like. I chalked it up to hydrogen embrittlement due to the nickel plating.

I also get more cracked necks with nickel, even in .357 magnum loads. That said.. I RARELY ever get cracked necks in general.

I dont load 308 nickel brass but have tried some in 270 Win and I had a hell of a time trying to size them and it was new R-P brass. Never had that problem with regular brass in those same dies. The nickel brass has been sitting under my reloading bench for 12 years so far.

Supposedly nickel plated brass is just a bit thinner than non-plated brass thus a tendency to crack much sooner from what I have been told a while back.

I got some new .38 Sp RP nickle-plated brass and have had about 2% splits in the first load plus about double that after the first reload. I think the nickle is more brittle. JMHO

I have .303 Brit, 30-06 and .223 nickel cases, which I use for my lead-free hunting rounds. Will have to watch for splits...
