Belted Magnum Resizing Dies....

Anyone have any experience with the Innovative Technologies sizing dies. I'm getting ready to start reloading for 300WM and i already know i'm going to run into problems with case bulging above the belt. Anyone try this die out or any other similar die. Thanks!

Why would the case "bulge" above the belt ?

in short because "belted cases prevent conventional resizing dies from traveling far enough down the case." i hear it's a fairly common and pretty much inevitable situation in factory chambers...

Swerv, here's a thread on a shooters forum from a couple of years ago on the subject. The forum is joined by Larry Willis under the name "Innovative". It's an interesting discussion.

I believe Mr. Wilis makes his case. If I were to be reloading a lot of belted magnum brass, I would buy it.

I do reload for the 300 Win. mag. in a hunting rifle, but only a few rounds at a time in low volume.

Mr. Willis makes small batches of the dies and does run out of them. It may be months before he runs another lot.
