    .30 carbine ammo?

.30 carbine ammo isnt cheap anymore, best Ive found is 29 cents a round for new USA stuff and no its not military stuff.

Anyone have a line on some? another guy said Miwall so I will have to check them out at the gun show.

I just bought some .30 carbine ammo last week, the best prices I could find on the internet.

              ---

I got 250 rounds of S&B from the sportsmans guide, ended up costing 30.1 cents per round delivered. (item# WX2-0085638)

and I also got 250 rounds of Remington green box from Natchez Shooters Supply for 33.8 cents delivered. (item# RTL30CR1) <-- sorry I just checked the website and it's now 16.99 a box, I guess I got it on sale for 13.86 a box., but they do have Magtech for $13.61 a box, so I guess that is still a decent price.

I always include freight costs in calculating per round costs when ordering from the internet, hope that helps...

From personal experience, I had about 4-6 squib loads per box of 50, across 6 boxes of 50. Junk.

Miwall makes some .30 Carbine: http://www.outdoormarksman.com/produ...roducts_id=412

Outdoormarksman never has it in stock (when do they EVER have Miwall in stock?). Next gunshow or warehouse sale, i gotta pick some up...

I've used both the Wolf polymer coated stuff and the S&B in several USGI carbines, and both shot reasonably accurate. Had no feed or extract problems with the Wolf at all. I gave one of my carbines to the GF's father for his birthday last year along with 1000 rounds of the Wolf. He shot it all up and asked for more.

I have had problems with the Miwall "new" loads. Several cases (the brass) were too long and kept the bolt from going into battery. This happened on 2 carbines that fed everything else, including USGI ball ammo flawlessly. YMMV.

ever since i read that (and heard similar reports) i'm a little skeptical of wolf. Maybe they've improved their rounds since then or you got really lucky or something. Of course, wolf is better than nothin'...
