    Bullet Pulling

I have about 400 rounds of 30-06 ammo. I traded them with my shotgun ammo. The bullets attract magnet. The cartridge cases are new ones. I am going to pull the bullets and just reload using the cartridge cases only.

I pulled 60 bullets last night using inertia puller. It was a painfully slow process, taking me a while. Does anyone have a puller that can do it faster? If you can help me, you can keep the bullets and powder. The powder looked like Winchester 760 type ball powder, had about 54 grains per case.

You're welcome to use mine whenever you come to Nor Cal!

The Inertia pullers suck, unless you only have 2 or 3 bullets to pull.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Thank you for the kind offer. Unless my younger son gets admitted to a college your way, I don't expect to go to Nor Cal anytime soon.

I have a collet puller in a turret press with a seating die in the next hole over.
A buddy pulled all his steel bullets and re-seated sierra bullets over the same charge.
        It went pretty fast.
If you want to come use it, you are welcome.

It's real nice out in my front yard right now.
I just came in from trimming 200 pieces of 243 in the giraud.
Reloading in the front yard is the best on a day like today...

if I don't care about the bullets I'm pulling I put the cartridge in my press with no die raise it up and clamp the bullet with vise grips horizontal across the die hole and lower the ram, they come out no problem

I've got a collet puller that you can borrow IF I can find it. I THINK it has a .30cal collet. I'll look for it in the morning.

Maybe the front yard part but I reload with my garage open all the time. Most people have no idea what it is I am doing.

Try it, you might like it.
I have one of those 6ft tables that's all made out of 2x6's.
I drilled it for my press and I can just bolt it on when I need to size cases.
The table sits under a nice big shade tree so I am literally a shade tree reloader.
When the hippies walk by and ask what I am doing, I tell them I am recycling my rifle cartridges.
This puts them into a conundrum because they want to hate me for the guns, but they appreciate my concern for the environment and my recycling to save resources...

I do all kinds of things on that table.
I lay out a big towel and sort brass.
I trim brass with the giraud.
I swage primer pockets with a dillon super swager.
I bore sight guns on the stop sign that's about 80yds away as long as the guy across the street does not have his SUV parked in my line of sight.
I teach people proper benchrest technique.
                  We BBQ out there too.

When I am bored, I have a hamock between the two trees that's only 5 feet away...

Hell, I used to use my K&M trimmer to trim my 50 brass in my driveway. Then again, I remember my first AK build party and seeing 4 or 5 people sitting on my driveway with nearly completed AKs in their laps. Yes, this was in town and not at my new place.

                    Topgun7,
I found the box the collet puller should be in along with a collection of collets. It appears that the .30cal collet is in the puller and they are both MIA right now. Hopefully, I'll find them later today.

I found my collet puller and .30cal collet! So, it's yours to borrow if you still need it.
