    reloading ona steel desk ?

Well I'm new to reloading i have my press and everything i need except a desk or bench . I can get an old large steel desk for cheap that's in good shape and lots of drawers . But i am wondering if it is safe to reload on a steel top desk ? or should i get a some boards and cover the top of the desk ? I dont want to blow my new reloading setup up lol

Get a wood sheet and clamp it on top of the desk...

I think I agree with this. The real question is how stiff is the top. There can be a lot of point load around the press that might flex a thin steel top. If the top is 0.125 inch then you might be good to go. You might thin about mounting the press on a removable piece of plywood. If you have a bunch of drawers you're gonna' love this desk. Static is an important issue, especially in dry regions. I'm in the bay area and don't worry about it. If I lived is Barsto?

Go to Lowes or home depot and get yourself a piece of 3/4 inch birch finished plywood. Bolt that to the desk top. you wont have any flexing
