Ahh... the spacer goes between the lock ring of the die and the press. I was envisioning something that went between the shell plate and the die... and that would be problematic with a progressive press.
You still need remove the die each time you change, but (assuming you use RCBS style lock rings with a set screw) you can screw the die back in with good repeatability.
Very interesting. I will keep these in mind if I start reloading .40S&W.
I noted the RCBS manual linked only lists these for .357 Mag/.38 Special and .44 Mag/Special. Perhaps it's dated and they need to update the list to include 10mm/.40S&W. If / when the time comes, I'm sure a quick call to RCBS will get me the appropriate part number.
