    IMR Powders

I'm just starting to reload and am looking for a good source for IMR 4895, 4064, or 4320 in the East Bay. Live in Oakland.

    Try ordering from powdervalleyinc.com

I prefer to buy from them rather then buying local. Find a buddy and divide the hazmat fee and shipping fee.

I agree. I order most my reloading supplies from them. I think they have the best price.

I think the Old West Gunshop in El Cerrito has gunpowder but I would call ahead to see what he has in stock. I find that all the local shops charge around $30/lbs so it doesn't take much to make it worth ordering online, paying the Hazmat and shipping, and still come out on top.

I also vote for Powder Valley Inc. for the best price. Graf and Sons would be an alternate.

What Farquaad said. Usually if you buy 3 pounds from the store it's more expensive than buying 3 pounds at PV paying hazmat and shipping. Online means no sales tax.

I have benn buying in quantities from Powder Valley. Last order was 32 pounds of powder, 10,000 primers and bullets. It cuts down cost a little when you buy in bulk. And, definitely cheaper than buying from the local retailers. For small amounts, I just buy from Angeles Range reloading store or other local place.
