    9mm to 380 brass

perhaps this is a dumb thought,... 380 brass is so hard to find at a reasonable price,,, can I just trim 9mm and go with that???
am I just making more work then it is worth??
thanks for your input in advance

Per my Lyman book the case head of the 9mm is .394 and the case head of .380 is .374 I don't think you can squeeze it down to size. If your in San Diego there is a Del Mar gun show coming up next week. Where are you located?

.223 has the same head dimensions and can be cut down to .380... but despite the drought, it should be MUCH easier to find .380 brass!

If you cut 223 down to 380 length, the case walls will be way too thick.

Yep, forgot you're going to need a reamer to bring ID to reamed to .351"

          LOL

If you've got a bunch of split-necked .223 and more time than sense, I guess it's possible.

Hit me up after Valentine's Day to see how much more brass I have. I think I have 100 or so pieces right now. Mainly range pick up, just have to remember to take my brass sorter with .380 plate to the range. Take care,

Cavalier thought, but the .223 case is too thick from stem to stern. Powder
capacity is seriously diminished and the case won't expand to seal the chamber.

If you ream the case, it's capacity will increase.
