Try to give it a quick polish using treated tumbling media. You might try using some brasso on a single case just to see if the stuff comes off if it doesnt toss the brass if it comes out clean wash the brasso off and you should be good to go.

It might be the lighting in the photo, but both cases look like they have copper-colored patches on them -- usually a sign that the zinc has mostly left the brass in those areas, and a case split is possibly not far behind.

Another vote for "toss 'em..." (Especially considering the questionable 200 cases only amount to 5% of your stock!)

By a day, I meant overnight. If it's still all crappy like that after an overnight tumble, trash it man.

          Nacinator,

Shoot me an Email or a PM I live in Marysville I'll give you a Gallon sized ziploc bag of Nickle or Brass 40 S&W for free. Toss that Sh*t
Thank you for that offer! I don't think I'll need it.

I'm just curious since I purchased ~2500 once-fired brass here and found a good amount in that very discolored state (doing the math it's more like 8%). And yes the picture is correct in displaying a lot of copper-color patches. A lot of them seem like they were picked up from an outside range since only one side is copper colored while the other side is shiny brass.
Help fix the For Sale section of Calguns.

When I have bought brass from indoor ranges I throw away far less. When it comes to stuff fired outside but collected quickly I tend to throw away maybe 4-8% due to defects of some sort.
