    Bag Balm Case lube?

    anyone use "Bag Balm" for case lube? just read this story and figured i'd ask.

    I'm sure somebody somewhere is using it. With so many excellent and inexpensive reloading lubes out there, I'm amazed at all the home-brew substitutes that people come up with.

      I wouldn't. It says that it contains petroleum jelly, and if that stuff gets in the cartridge it will deactivate the primer. If you have the urge to fondle your brass before you size it, use Imperial Sizing Wax.
      I've never seen an American flag burned at a gun show.

        Not sure i would trust a product invented back in 1899 to do a better job then a true case lube made today. My biggest thing is using a lube that wont destroy my powder or primers. I clean them after sizing but you never know.

          I read the article in today's paper also and was amused... I'm not sure I trust the stuff for my ammo though.

            Bag Balm is excellent for cracked hands,feet and just as a salve. But not in a million years would I use it for case lube. Have you ever tried to get it off something that it got on?
