Back from the range, shot my first reloads.

Went to the range for the first time to shoot my reloads for my Enfield.

Success!! Nothing blew up or malfunctioned. All rounds fed properly, no signs of overpressure, no glitches at all.

Was a little nervous with the first trigger pull, but that went away as soon as she went boom.

Looks like I may have hit a winning combination on the third powder level I used. Using surplus Greek HXP brass and 35.5 gr of IMR 3031 under a 180gr. Sierra Hot-Cor gave me a three shot group of .347" at 50 yards. I am very happy with that. I would call that my rifles 'optimum' load.

Good job. Now try at 100 and 200 yards to be sure.

The 100 yard range was closed. Too much water. It was flooded at the target stands.

Glad to see your success! I had a good day at the range too. Took my first reloads in over 15 years out to the range. I only consider myself an average shot, but I was still happy with the results.

Both were from somewhere between 15 and 20 yards shooting a Glock 22.

3031 is one of the most accurate powders for some .303 loads.

                          Glad you survived!!!

That first trigger pull is a little tense, isn't it?
